We’re seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Warehouse Operative to join a dynamic warehouse team in Heysham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen eye for quality and a proactive approach to logistics and operations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth handling of UK and export shipments, maintaining compliance with transport regulations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

• Receive and unpack goods and book in all goods accurately via computer system.
• Perform a range of transactions relevant to specific role.
• Locate bulk/pre‑packs to relevant hazard warehouses.
• Pick stock for repack orders from any of the onsite warehouses and return any bulk returns from repack to the accurate store location.
• Cycle count locations as per work instructions.
• Investigate and resolve Not on Location (NOL) missing items.
• Pick UK and Export shipments from the relevant warehouses using the pick lists provided. Report any items that do not appear acceptable.
• Follow all packing and labelling instructions to the letter to align transport regulations.
• Participate in the collation of export shipments and ensure shipments are loaded accurately and all paperwork is completed.
• Have a good understanding of third‑party systems, such as courier services, MSDS.
• Handle fine chemicals either in bulk quantities or pre‑packs in accordance with CEM (Chemical Exposure Management) regulations.
• Maintain good stock levels of consumables required in the working area and understand the requisition procedure.
• Operate any equipment for which training has been completed, and report defective equipment or other issues to an Operations Team Leader or Manager.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records and paperwork necessary to the role.
• Ensure full compliance with site security policies.
• Conform with the environmental and quality policies, procedures and the requirements of the EMS and QMS.
• Conduct day‑to‑day duties according to current procedures and appropriate health and safety precautions.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities on site.
• Carrying out any other duties within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably guided.

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable.
• Forklift licence/training is a strong advantage.

• Ability to follow compliance, quality, and security protocols.
