Carteret Community College (Morehead City, NC) is proud to introduce its first-ever Women’s Soccer program and is seeking an enthusiastic, student‑focused Head Coach to lead this exciting new initiative. This is a rare opportunity to build a program from the ground up, shaping a culture that prioritizes athletic achievement, academic success, and personal growth. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a passion for developing soccer players of all skill levels, and a commitment to fostering teamwork and integrity.
Applications will be accepted through December 31, 2025. Stipend: $667 – $1,000 per month.
Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and direct all phases of the women's soccer program.
- Develop and implement practice schedules, game strategies, and player development plans.
- Recruit and retain qualified student‑athletes who meet NJCAA eligibility requirements.
- Maintain accurate recruiting records and submit required documentation.
- Ensure full compliance with NJCAA, institutional, and Region 10 rules and regulations.
- Complete and submit eligibility forms and maintain accurate rosters.
- Monitor and support the academic progress of student‑athletes.
- Collaborate with academic advisors to promote graduation and transfer success.
- Manage program budget, including purchasing equipment and uniforms.
- Assist with fundraising activities and community engagement.
- Schedule games and scrimmages.
- Arrange team travel and lodging.
- Represent the College and women’s soccer program in media, community events, and NJCAA activities.
- Hire, train, and supervise assistant coaches and support staff.
- Ensure proper safety protocols and injury prevention measures.
- Maintain medical authorization forms and emergency procedures.
- Attend required campus events including graduation, professional development, and employee meetings.
- Serve on College committees and task forces as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3–5 years of coaching experience at the collegiate or high school level, with NJCAA experience preferred. They must demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, along with a thorough knowledge of soccer techniques, strategies, and NJCAA regulations. The candidate should have the ability to mentor student‑athletes academically, athletically, and personally, while maintaining a commitment to their overall success and well-being.
A proven capacity to foster a positive team culture and uphold the values of Carteret Community College is essential, as are strong organizational and time‑management skills.
