Office Assistant – Part‑Time (Maintenance & Operations)

The City of Moreno Valley is hiring a Part‑Time Office Assistant to support the Maintenance and Operations Division of the Public Works Department. Applications will be accepted until the first 150 are received or until January 14, 2026, whichever comes first.

Under general supervision, the Office Assistant will handle incoming calls, greet visitors, provide general information, and perform routine office support functions, including document preparation and filing. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with a team dedicated to delivering essential infrastructure services to the Moreno Valley community.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED equivalent; one year of increasingly responsible office administrative or secretarial experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Division Overview

The Maintenance and Operations Division maintains streets, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, residential trees, medians, catch basins, drainage facilities, street sweeping, and graffiti removal.

Public Works Department

The mission of the Public Works Department is to manage and maximize Moreno Valley’s public infrastructure to enhance quality of life and develop innovative solutions. Services include land development, street and median maintenance, traffic signals, tree trimming, capital projects, signage, drainage, storm water, bridges, and graffiti removal.

City of Moreno Valley

Moreno Valley was incorporated in 1984, operates under a Council‑Manager form of government, and employs over 450 staff providing a wide range of municipal services.
