Registered Nurse II​/III-MC​/CHC - RUHS - Stroke Data Registrar

Overview

The County of Riverside – Riverside University Health System Medical Center, located in Moreno Valley, is seeking a Registered Nurse II/III-MC/CHC to serve as the Stroke Data Registrar for the Nurse Support Teams department.

• Evaluate the Stroke Program’s performance improvement activities under the supervision of the Stroke Program Coordinator, including data mining, analysis, and entry into multiple stroke registries (Get with the Guidelines, Image Trend).
• Assist with daily rounding of stroke patients and education of large and small groups for patients, medical staff, and community members.
• Participate in committees:
  Stroke Committee, Stroke Champions, RUHS Performance Improvement Patient Safety Council.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends in stroke care and quality measures, recognize opportunities for improvement, and report timely to staff and providers.
• Monthly deadline for data submission required.
• Occasionally assist the Code Team with administrative duties.
• Support quality assurance reviews and act as a team leader or relief charge nurse.

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit or Emergency Department within the last 5 years.
• Preferred knowledge: EPIC, data mining, data entry, data analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
• Report building and presentation experience preferred.
• Quality improvement experience is a plus.
• Bilingual is preferred but not required.

• Current and valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Valid NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Critical Care Differential: $4.00/hour.

Hours:

7:00 am – 5:30 pm

Registered Nurse II MC/CHC: $43.99 – $68.09 per hour
Registered Nurse III MC/CHC: $51.12 – $77.15 per hour
