The Riverside University Health Systems (RUHS) – Medical Center seeks a Nursing Assistant (Regular – Full Time) to join its team in Moreno Valley to support the Operating Room Division.

Under supervision, assists professional nursing personnel or other professional healthcare providers in providing basic patient care and treatment; observes patients via video monitoring equipment from a remote location; performs nonprofessional nursing duties in the care of physically and mentally ill patients; performs other related duties as required.

The Nursing Assistant is an entry level classification and typically reports to appropriate supervisory or management level nursing staff. Incumbents may be assigned to any outpatient clinic or inpatient nursing unit across the Riverside University Health System (RUHS) or within the Department of Public Health. The Nursing Assistant is distinguished from the Licensed Vocational Nurse I in that Nursing Assistants are not required to possess a license and do not administer medicine.

This position is responsible for transporting patients safely between units and departments; retrieve and deliver necessary equipment and supplies; assist with obtaining and documenting patient vital signs; and provide support with patient mobility, including assisting patients with ambulation to and from their beds.

This position requires frequent lifting, pushing gurneys, and extensive walking between various areas of the hospital. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
