Restaurant Manager

Amirian Management Company – Riverside, CA.

Overview

The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for creating a culture that reflects the company values, managing daily operations, overseeing inventory and ordering of food and supplies, optimizing profits, and ensuring guests are satisfied with their dining experience. The role reports to the District Manager.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Financial: Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales; manage costs to meet budget targets, focusing on cost of sales, labor costs, and cash over/short; analyze variances and initiate corrective actions with a high sense of urgency; ensure accurate completion of all financial and personnel/payroll administrative duties.
  • Food Safety & Planning: Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by enforcing sanitation standards, complying with health and legal regulations; ensure consistent high‑quality food preparation and service; maintain professional restaurant image, cleanliness, and uniforms; accurately inventory and control cost of goods; supervise portion control; estimate food needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule deliveries; must be Serv Safe certified; complete weekly Food Excellence Self‑Assessment.
  • Guest Service: Ensure positive guest service in all areas; respond to complaints and transform dissatisfied guests into return customers.
  • Operations: Ensure a safe working environment for employees and guests; complete accident reports promptly; manage shifts, scheduling, planning while upholding standards and cleanliness; investigate and resolve complaints; complete one Food Excellence audit per week.
  • Personnel: Recruit, select, train, assign, supervise, coach, counsel, and when necessary, terminate employees; ensure all employees complete training; communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, and enforce policies; develop employees with ongoing feedback; maintain accurate staffing plans and schedules; conduct monthly staff meetings; develop employees into Shift Leaders and future General Managers.
  • Accountabilities: Maintain compliance with all regulations and company policies; perform loss prevention audits; uphold company purpose and values; keep District Manager promptly informed of issues; complete job responsibilities timely and effectively; maintain favorable working relationships; accomplish company goals with ownership; perform other duties as required.
Work Schedule
  • Works 50 hours per week or more based on restaurant needs.
  • Works three of the busiest days.
  • Works at least two opening, two mid, and one closing shift.
Qualifications
  • Must be Serv Safe certified.
