What skills and experience we're looking for Qualifications
- Teaching Assistant Qualification NVQ
- Paediatric First Aid trained (desirable)
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English (desirable)
- Experience working in a primary school setting
- Experience working with SENDCo and delivering intervention
- Experience of working with children who have cognition and learning needs
The successful candidate will:
- Have the ability to build supportive relationships with children providing the necessary guidance and instruction to help pupils grow towards achieving their full potential
- Be patient and have a positive attitude
- Have strong behaviour management skills and a variety of behaviour management strategies
- Be enthusiastic and willing to contribute to the busy life of the school
- Experience of working with children who have cognition and learning needs
- Be supportive of the Christian ethos of the school
St David’s CofE Primary School is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our school team and support pupil learning in class.
The post is offered as a salary of Grade 3 Point 5-6 (depending on the candidate) on a permanent basis.
This is a part-time post for 16 hours 40 minutes (16.66 hours) per week.
This post will begin as soon as possible in September, subject to completion of safer recruitment checks.
