RN-ICU (Night shift) -  at Teche Regional Medical Center.

Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN), under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and with the authority from the Chief Nursing Officer, applies the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation). The RN must effectively interact with patients, their family/significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. The RN will demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational and safety related criteria for the adult and geriatric population.

• Apply the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation).
• Interact effectively with patients, family/significant others, and health team members while maintaining professional nursing standards.
• Provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety criteria for adult and geriatric populations.

• Experience in Intensive Care Unit nursing preferred.
• Current Louisiana State Licensed Practical Nurse License.
• BLS certification upon hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within 90 days of hire.
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
• Ability to take and give directions.
