Inter Moor is looking to add an Equipment Maintenance Technician to the team. The Equipment Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, and equipment. Pneumatic tools are a plus but not required. An on-call rotation schedule will be implemented when overtime and/or travel to various Inter Moor facilities or work locations is required.
The successful candidate will be based at the Morgan City facility.
Duties- Observe and troubleshoot mechanical devices
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
- Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
- Repair or replace defective parts
- Install special functional and structural parts in devices
- Lubricate and clean parts
- Start devices to test their performance
- Set up and operate drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
- Repair electrical components on internal combustion engines
- Hydraulic or electrical experience is beneficial, but not required. Training will be offered
- High school diploma or its equivalent, with a minimum of one (1) year related experience
- Will also consider work related experience beyond three (3) years, does not require a diploma or equivalent but must read and write well
- Transportation Workers Identification Credentials (TWIC) card eligible
- Must possess a valid, state issued, driver's license when operating company vehicles
