Element has an opportunity for a Compliance Technical Manager (Wireless Devices) to join our rapidly expanding team in Morgan Hill, CA. We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Technical Manager with deep expertise in wireless device certification. This role will be instrumental in delivering testing and certification services for wireless products. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role, leveraging regulatory experience to guide technical teams, ensure regulatory alignment, and support our clients in launching compliant, safe, and market-ready products.
Salary: $175, (exempt/annual).
Responsibilities- Define and focus Element goals and objectives in alignment with specific engineering discipline.
- Define solutions for and lead extremely complex challenges and new projects.
- Serve as a key or top level technical advisor and may be recognized as an expert in the given technical discipline within Element and/or the global TIC sector.
- Communicate ideas, concepts, practices, etc. to stakeholders at all levels of the company.
- Act as a go‑to mentor and expert by the technical team.
- Provide compliance expertise delivering testing and certification services for wireless products.
- Ensure compliance with international regulatory standards, including FCC, CE (RED/EMCD), IC, and other global certification schemes.
- Oversee and participate in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), RF, and SAR testing for wireless devices, including 5G New Radio () technologies.
- Provide strategic guidance and technical oversight for product approvals through Telecommunication Certification Bodies (TCBs), Certification Bodies (CBs), and Notified Bodies (NBs).
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in the certification process to reduce time to market for clients.
- Collaborate with clients to define compliance strategies and provide expert interpretation of regulatory requirements.
- Author and review technical documentation, test reports, and white papers on wireless standards and methodologies.
- Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure alignment with current best practices.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering or equivalent.
- FCC Certified with deep knowledge of EMI and SAR testing and standards preferred.
- Extensive experience with 5G , RF test methodologies, EMC, and wireless technologies.
- Familiar with TCB, CB, EMI/EMCD Notified Bodies.
- Ideal candidate will have published work on wireless standards and testing.
