We are seeking part time Customer Service Associate's to join our team. Job includes providing friendly, helpful assistance to customers while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked store. This is entry-level position provides on-the-job training and product knowledge support. The ideal candidate enjoys helping others and is eager to learn in a supportive, team-oriented work environment.
The position includes but is not limited to:- Greet customers in a welcoming manner and assist them in locating products
- Provides outstanding customer service
- Answer basic questions about hardware items, tools, and home improvement supplies (training provided)
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain store appearance
- Drives sales through customers engagement and product knowledge
- Assist with inventory, including receiving, stocking and pricing merchandise
- Answer customer service phone calls
- Mix and match paint
- Cut keys, rope, wire, wood, etc
- Follow store policies and safety procedures
- Standing for long periods
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50pounds
Applicant must have flexible availability to work evenings, weekend shifts and Holidays.
Qualifications:- Friendly, positive, helpful attitude with a strong focus on assisting customers
- Retail or customer service experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person
- Willingness to learn about hardware products, tools, and basic home improvement needs
- Comfortable talking with customers and answering questions in
-person and over the phone - Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Basic math skills and handle cash transactions accurately while operating a point-of-sale (POS) system
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and take direction from supervisors
Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items - Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
