Industrial Automation Technician

Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

The essential functions of the maintenance technician are to act as a representative of Trew by providing excellent customer service through execution and completion of reactive and scheduled maintenance tasks assigned by the service manager or other supervisors. The individual in this role must have a hands‑on, and ‘can do’ attitude.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Follow all company safety plans
  • Provide superior Customer Experience
  • Operational Support of Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
  • Mechanical Corrective – and Preventive Maintenance of MHE
  • Electrical Corrective – and Preventive Maintenance of MHE
  • Creation, updating and completion of work orders
  • Advise supervisor to potential hazards (safety and operational)
  • Test and maintain electrical equipment using hand and power tools
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems and its components, to locate problem and make necessary repairs
  • Inspect electrical systems and their connections to identify hazards
Required Skills/Abilities
  • High attention to detail and exceptionally well organized
  • Must be effective in use of software programs such as MS Office, CMMS, etc.
  • Ability to complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner and to be conscientious about assignments
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with leadership, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside of Trew
  • Ability to exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships
  • Ability to prioritize to meet customer expectations
  • Thorough knowledge of parts inventory location and its use
Education & Experience
  • Experience testing and maintaining electrical equipment using hand and power tools
  • Experience diagnosing malfunctioning systems to locate problems and make repairs
  • Experience inspecting electrical systems and their connections to identify hazards
Work Environment
  • The work environment includes exposure to manufacturing machinery and potentially noisy conditions.
  • The temperature inside a warehouse can vary.
  • Some warehouses are climate‑controlled, while others may not be.
  • Must be available when needed for emergency calls and periodic overtime
  • Day shift
Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to talk and listen. The employee will frequently lift on average 25-50lbs throughout the course of a business day. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
