CNC Horizontal Mill Machinist

to join our team in Morganton, NC. This is a

job shop environment

where adaptability, precision, and problem-solving are essential. The ideal candidate will be proficient in

programming, set-up, and operation

of CNC horizontal mills while maintaining repeatability, efficiency, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T

Develop CNC programs in an organized and cost-effective manner

Set up and operate CNC horizontal mills for high-precision machining

Perform test runs and make adjustments to meet blueprint specifications

Troubleshoot and resolve machining and programming issues

Optimize cutting paths and settings to improve efficiency while maintaining tolerances

Conduct quality assurance inspections to ensure compliance with specifications

Support

AS9100 & ISO 9001

quality standards and policies

Follow all plant safety procedures and contribute to a safe workplace

Requirements

3+ years of CNC machining experience (horizontal milling preferred)

Strong programming skills (manual, conversational, or CAM)

Mastercam experience preferred

Proficient with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques

Knowledge of GD&T

Ability to work independently in a job shop environment

Willingness to work overtime as required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong computer and software skills

Excellent mathematical and problem-solving ability

Good verbal and written communication skills

Adaptability to handle frequent changes in daily priorities

Ability to work with team members and management at all levels
