Role SummaryWe are looking to add a motivated, effective food service director to our Elior Independent School Dining team in Morganton, NC. As a food service director, you will have the opportunity to lead a talented team and manage all aspects of a food service department to ensure customers and clients never miss a meal.
Responsibilities- Manage all functions of the food service department and its resources.
- Lead, hire, and train a team of associates.
- Ensure staff meet all culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
- Build and maintain a department budget, purchase ingredients, and meet forecasted targets.
- Coordinate with the district manager and other departments regarding technical and administrative aspects of dining service.
- Address customer service needs.
Must-haves:
- At least five years of experience coordinating food service operations, including catering.
- Previous experience with industrial cooking.
- Excellent communication skills and experience communicating with both hourly staff and company executives.
- Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a strong focus on client and customer services and satisfaction.
- Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite applications.
Nice-to-haves:
- Serv Safe and/or HACCP certification.
Compensation for this position is up to $49,500 per year based on experience.
