Position Summary

The Gas Trader is responsible for overseeing daily natural gas system operations, including scheduling,에는 storage, and inventory management. This role supports supply planning and trading through

AFX market analysis, ensures compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, and maintains effective communication with internal teams, external customers, and pipeline operators. The analyst plays a key role in optimizing systems through automation, manages billing and reconciliation processes, executes hedging strategies, and supports cross‑functional initiatives. вел Identity engagement and stakeholder reporting Funktion also essential components of this position, contributing to both operational reliability and strategic growth.

Duties
  • Track supply and demand, adjust schedules to maintain and prevent imbalances on Hope LDC’s
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Serve as an Individual Contributor without supervisory responsibilities but provide guidance, expertise, and training to others in the Gas Trader role.
  • Support and contribute toward team goals and objectives.
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Knowledge of gas transportation systems, tariffs, and nomination processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis tools, and gas management software (eg Quorum, Allegro).
  • Experience with trading platforms (e.g. ICE, NGI, Platts) preferred.
  • Proficient in using energy trading & risk management (ETRM) systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments.
Education & Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, Energy Management, or related field required.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in natural gas trading, scheduling, or energy markets preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; five (5) years of relevant experience in natural gas trading, scheduling, or energy markets required.
Physical Requirements
  • Remain stationary at a designated workspace up to 80% of the time.
  • Move self in different positions to accomplish various tasks throughout the office space.
  • Adjust or move objects up to 20 lbs.
  • Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery as erections necessary.
  • Communicate with others to accurately exchange information and ideas.
  • Observe details at close range.
WORK CONTEXT
  • Minimum travel for work-related purposes expected at 25%, including some overnight visits to locations and industry events.
  • This is a full‑time exempt salaried position.
