West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek a Geriatrician to join the Section of Geriatrics, Palliative Medicine and Hospice as an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV, and may also provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Travel will be anticipated and expected to fulfill these duties.

• Practice in the areas of geriatrics and provide excellent patient care.
• Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Provide specialized geriatric consultation for frail, older adults with complex, life‑threatening, or chronic conditions, including dementia and delirium.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians and other specialists within WVU Medicine.
• Provide patient- and family-centered palliative and hospice care, including inpatient, outpatient, and local nursing home services.

• MD, DO, or foreign equivalent and eligible for a West Virginia medical license.
• Completed an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program and a Geriatrics fellowship program.
• Board certified or eligible in Geriatrics.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

The Section of Geriatrics, Palliative Medicine and Hospice at WVU has the main mission to advance health care and quality of life for older people and those with serious illnesses. Faculty provide specialized geriatric consultation and collaborate closely with a wide range of specialists across WVU Medicine.
