Additional Job Description

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek an Infectious Diseases physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.

• Duties
  :
  The successful candidate will practice in the area of adult Infectious Diseases (). Clinical responsibilities will include a mix of  and outpatient care. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows and will participate in scholarly activities.

The  has 15 faculty with diverse expertise, skills, and experience. We have excellent APPs who work closely with  and fellows. The  is recognized for valuable contributions to all our missions, education, service, and scholarship. Many faculty have won teaching awards locally, regionally, and nationally. Areas of expertise/focus include health‑care epidemiology, musculoskeletal infections, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B, C, antimicrobial stewardship, Transplant , telehealth, OPAT, and COpAT.

The  has an active fellowship program with a 100%  pass rate.

• Qualifications
  :
  Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Must have completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program as well as an Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program. Must be board‑certified/eligible in infectious diseases. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
