Physician - Adult Cardiac Surgery role at WVU Medicine.

Location:

Morgantown, West Virginia. Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute. This is a board-certified/eligible cardiac surgeon position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.

The successful candidate will practice the full spectrum of adult cardiac surgery. Subspecialty and academic interests, while not mandatory, will be facilitated to support growth and development. Duties may include service at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania as needed, with travel anticipated.

• Practice in the area of cardiothoracic surgery with a focus on adult cardiac surgery.
• Provide excellent patient care and actively participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, cardiologists, radiologists, and vascular specialists; participate in research and academic activities as appropriate.

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent; eligible for state medical license.
• Completed a general surgery residency program and a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship program.
• Board eligible or board certified in cardiothoracic surgery; all qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
