Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon – WVU Medicine
Join us as a Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon at WVU Medicine in Morgantown, WV. This full‑time academic position is located at the WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s Hospital.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly qualified pediatric orthopaedic surgeon to join a collaborative team of four pediatric orthopaedic surgeons and three physician assistants. The role offers flexibility for general pediatric orthopaedic practice and welcomes subspecialty interests in sports, neuromuscular, and limb deformity.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient care for pediatric orthopaedic patients.
- Collaborate with surgeons, PAs, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality treatment.
- Lead and mentor trainees, residents, and fellows as part of the academic mission.
- Develop and maintain subspecialty programs in sports, neurom الترाइल, or limb deformity care.
- MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility for West Virginia medical licensure.
- Completion of an orthopaedic surgery residency program and a pediatric orthopaedic surgery fellowship program.
- Board certification (or eligibility) in orthopaedic surgery. All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.
- Ability to teach, mentor, and participate in academic research.
WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s Hospital opened in September 2022 and is the premier site in the state for primary and tertiary care of children. The hospital includes a full suite of pediatric operating rooms, cardiac catheterization lab/interventional radiology, and GI‑endoscopy, as well as a dedicated pediatric anesthesia staff. It is a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center with plans to become Level 1.
