Part-time Clinic Adjunct Faculty – College of Law - 26657
DescriptionThe College of Law at West Virginia University invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions to supervise students representing clients in the clinical law program in various areas of law. Applicants should have demonstrated expertise and practice experience in the relevant area of law and be committed to providing a rigorous and quality educational experience while ensuring competent client representation. Clinic adjuncts typically supervise one or two student teams each semester, with each team comprising two students.
These teams will remain consistent across both semesters of the academic year.
Applicants must have a J.D. degree, an active bar license, and admission to the applicable court(s). Evidence of good standing with the relevant state or federal bar is required, along with a minimum of three years of professional legal experience.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Supervisory experience in a legal practice setting
- Engagement with the College of Law
- Judicial clerkship or similar experience
Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed as positions become available. Salary is determined per team. Appointments are for a specified term, with renewal contingent upon course needs. These positions are not benefits-eligible. Applicants should submit:
