We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic 1099 Instructor to deliver high-quality training programs within the law enforcement and emergency response sectors. This role is critical in ensuring that personnel are equipped with the latest knowledge, skills, and certifications required to perform their duties safely and effectively. As a 1099 Instructor, you will design, facilitate, and evaluate training sessions focused on law enforcement best practices and life-saving emergency care, including CPR and first aid.

Your expertise will directly impact public safety, organizational readiness, and compliance with state and federal standards. This is a flexible, contract-based position ideal for experienced professionals passionate about education, public service, and continuous improvement in training excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, competency-based training curricula in law enforcement tactics, procedures, and emergency medical response.
  • Conduct hands-on instruction in CPR, first aid, and emergency care protocols in accordance with current AHA/ILCOR guidelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications and ensure all training materials reflect the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess student performance through practical evaluations, written exams, and real-world simulations.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to trainees to promote skill mastery and confidence.
  • Collaborate with training coordinators to schedule sessions, manage logistics, and maintain training records.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and ensure inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Participate in curriculum reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of training programs.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of professional experience as a law enforcement instructor or certified CPR/first aid trainer.
  • Valid and current certification as a CPR Instructor (American Heart Association or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in delivering training to law enforcement personnel, military, or emergency services.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet scheduled training deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using training technology, including virtual learning platforms, multimedia tools, and assessment software.
  • High level of physical fitness and ability to demonstrate techniques requiring movement, lifting, and simulated scenarios.
  • Background check and clearance may be required based on training environment and jurisdiction.
  • Willingness to work on a 1099 independent contractor basis with flexible scheduling and remote or on-site delivery options.
