Coordinates operating budgeting and management reporting activities for the assigned departments, handling budget formulation, variance analysis, and review. Utilizes reports to analyze data from various sources, presenting findings to assist in budget planning, monthly analysis, and decision‑making. Requires accounting knowledge and technical skills in database and system management.
Minimum Qualifications- Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Hospital Administration, or a related field. - Experience
:
Two (2) years’ experience in data analysis, financial statement preparation, financial systems administration, and/or health‑care planning.
- Education
:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA). - Experience
:
Two (2) years professional capacity experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Administrator of the assigned departments budget and management reporting software, including system maintenance, reporting, and staff training.
- Collaborate with Information Technology, Accounting, Finance & Reimbursement, and Patient Financial Services to design solutions for technical problems.
- Assist in coordinating the hospital’s annual budget process and act as a budgetary decision maker during peak periods.
- Provide thorough financial and statistical analysis of data, producing reports to support decision making.
- Maintain and continually improve technical skills needed to manipulate data.
- Design and maintain database structures for report generation.
- Produce expert‑level reports for budgetary and management systems, including advanced Microsoft Excel work.
- Identify appropriate data sources and fields for reporting and analytics.
- Track changes outside of the budget process and manage FTE requests.
- Employee may need to sit during extended periods of time.
- Office environment.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with management, staff, and external customers.
- Extensive knowledge of personal computers and Excel.
- Strong organization and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work well under high‑stress conditions.
- Independent decision‑making ability.
- Problem‑solving skills to resolve process deficiencies.
- Current knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
