Registered Dietitian (RDN)

Location: Health Works Rehab & Fitness in Morgantown, WV

Status: STEADY

Schedule: Weekdays 8 AM – 4 PM (3 days per week)

Compensation: starting at $40/hr

Health Works in Morgantown, WV is seeking a local part‑time registered and licensed dietitian to provide nutritional and weight‑management counseling to clients 1:1, including residents from Marion, Monongalia, and Taylor counties.

• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate all phases of patient nutritional care, including diet therapy and education.
• Deliver 1:1 nutritional counseling with a focus on weight management.
• Participate in training for Public Employee Insurance (WV‑PEIA) clients.
• Collaborate with the team on nutrition labeling programs and audit procedures.
• Present on nutrition topics at corporate wellness events and informational tabling.
• Plan appropriate diets and menus for individuals whose medical condition can be treated or controlled using diet therapy.
• Determine when follow‑up appointments are needed based on patient motivation and comprehension.
• Conduct nutrition education classes (e.g., diabetes, weight management) when demand exists.
• Serve as a community resource to clients.
• Monitor and respond to phone and e‑mail messages promptly.
• Enter nutrition notes promptly after assessment.
• Maintain patient, employee, and computer data safety and confidentiality.
• Exhibit excellent communication and counseling skills.
• Apply training in motivational interviewing.
• Manage time, punctuality, and organization effectively.
• Be personable, compassionate, friendly, responsible, and hardworking.
• Work independently as well as part of a team.
• Use Apple & Microsoft Office computer skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (or related field) from an accredited institution.
• Active, current license in the state of West Virginia.
• Registration with the American Dietetic Association (ADA).
• Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.

• Master’s degree in nutrition or related field.
