This position supports the development and implementation of strategic initiatives by assisting with the creation of comprehensive program plans and projects for key Pharmacy Enterprise initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all aspects of Pharmacy Enterprise projects of mid-low risk affecting multiple stakeholders within a limited number of areas/departments.
  • Develop and manage project work plans, report progress, track issues, define scope, manage cost, resources, time, communication, and risk.
  • Collaborate with IT, vendors, and customers to ensure successful completion of projects.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist Pharmacy leadership team in achieving operational and financial objectives, supporting quality of service initiatives, and adapting to economic, technological, and regulatory changes.
  • Plan projects, including proposal reviews to determine goals, timeframe, funding, approach, staffing, deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
  • Collaborate with Pharmacy leadership team to integrate service functions with WVU Medicine.
  • Develop and maintain project scope/charter and schedule, and communicate updates or changes.
  • Generate, collect, disseminate, store, and dispose of project information, including estimates of work scope and cost.
  • Manage project risks and issues, implement change control, and facilitate outcomes.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, provide realistic expectations, and update stakeholders on project status.
  • Participate in pre-engagement preparation, transition support, and motivate project team.
  • Oversee vendor and external resources, manage invoicing, and schedule activities.
  • Collaborate with facility project manager on renovation and improvement projects.
  • Use LEAN principles to create workflow efficiencies and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies.
  • Travel to other facilities or affiliated sites as required for implementations, training, and support.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Architecture, Communications, or related field.
  • Two (2) years project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certification in LEAN.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management Certification preferred.
  • Experience in Construction Management.
  • Experience in pharmacy or healthcare industry.
Physical Requirements
  • Requires frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping necessary body movements utilized in performing duties through the work shift.
  • Requires the ability to lift 25 lbs.
Working Environment
  • Standard office environment.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to work well under high stress conditions.
  • Ability to work independently or cooperatively as a team member.
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary groups.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Access).
