Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Perform a full range of ultrasound examinations including OB/GYN, breast, vascular, abdominal, and small parts imaging.
Conduct exams such as fetal anatomical surveys, amniotic fluid index, umbilical cord Doppler, abdominal and renal scans, transvaginal ultrasounds, and thyroid or testicular studies.
Perform interventional procedures including cyst aspirations, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and ultrasound-guided biopsies or fine-needle aspirations.
Operate GE ultrasound equipment and maintain accurate documentation within the Cerner charting system.
Provide imaging for a diverse patient population—neonates through geriatrics—in various settings such as the Emergency Department, ICU, obstetrics, and vascular labs.
Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and maintain equipment and imaging quality standards.
Participate in on-call rotations and float to other units as needed.
Required
Certifications:
ARDMS (in at least one specialty area)
BLS (American Heart Association)
Preferred
Certifications:
ARDMS AB (Abdomen)
ARDMS OB/GYN
ARDMS (Breast)
ARDMS RVT (Vascular Technology)
Required Experience:
Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience including OB, breast, vascular, and abdominal imaging.
Experience in hospital or acute care settings.
First-time travelers accepted.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
Proficiency in performing comprehensive OB exams (1st–3rd trimester, fetal anatomy, multiple pregnancies). Strong experience with vascular studies (carotid, venous/arterial duplex, renal artery, grafts). Familiarity with transplant ultrasound (renal and liver). Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment. Additional Details:
