This position is responsible for first level support for network services and infrastructure to include but not limited to telecommunications, networking, security, servers, databases, PC and application support at WVUHS facilities or affiliated sites. The primary duties include being the Tier 1 service provider and onsite representation for coordinated support from Tier 2 and Tier 3 analyst/engineers in Enterprise Information Systems team.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or other related field OR;
High School Diploma or equivalent AND Two (2) years of experience in networking and server platform. - Internal employees must meet all mandatory competencies in current position in order to qualify for promotion within IT.

- Experience working with end-users and across multiple teams to include proper change management and ticketing software.
- Network Support:
Under guidance from Senior Network Engineer, Analyst should be able to support data networking equipment. - Assist Senior Network Analysts in troubleshooting basic servers and Windows Operating systems; provide legacy server support.
- Application Support: work with customers to identify and report issues with applications; work under Senior Network Analyst to resolve issues with application and user access to specific applications.
- Infrastructure Management: follow data cabling and labeling procedures; install, manage, and update any network services infrastructure devices as needed.
- Team Building: mentor, train, and develop other employees; participate in departmental teams and travel to remote sites as assigned.
- Technical Administration: use office productivity software to document network/security issues for and maintain network information databases.

- Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping are necessary movements during the work shift.
- Standard office environment.
- Requires travel to other WVUHS facilities or affiliated sites to assist with implementations, training, and/or support.
- Ability to work well under high stress conditions.
- Handle and maintain confidential information.
- Work on networks, security appliances, servers and PCs.
- Lift at least 50 pounds.
- Work independently or cooperatively as a team member.
- Adapt to various workloads and assignments.
- Work with multi-disciplinary groups and facilitate meetings.
- Read and comprehend technical documentation.
- Knowledge of healthcare work environment, healthcare information systems, EHR applications.
- Knowledge of change management processes, ITIL.
- Generalist knowledge of IT infrastructure to include servers, networks, security, applications, and PCs.
- Mid-level knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting PCs on Windows 7 and Windows 10.
