Description

The Department of Family and Community Development is currently accepting applications for a Program Manager at West Virginia University Extension Services.

About the Opportunity

This position is responsible for working with a team to plan, implement, and evaluate relationship education programming delivered by WVU Extension through a partnership with the WV Department of Human Services. This role will serve as a central administrative coordinator of statewide efforts led by the Principal Investigator.

What You'll DoProgram Development and Planning
  • Review, maintain, and/or develop program materials as needed for outreach efforts
  • Develop and/or revise program implementation guides to be shared with coordinators delivering relationship education in counties across the state
  • Establish and maintain positive collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate communication with partners within West Virginia and across the U.S. to support partner planning/development of shared efforts.
  • Foster collaboration among existing stakeholders to ensure alignment with ongoing initiatives.
Program Coordination
  • Coordinate regular project team meetings to facilitate communication among Extension faculty/staff
  • Maintain records of program activities, successes, and challenges to inform future program development
  • Support the project team in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of relationship education programming (both virtually and in-person)
  • Facilitate the development of statewide and regional tracking of direct education efforts.
Program Evaluation and Reporting
  • Track and maintain program data to ensure thorough and accurate program evaluation.
  • Facilitate communication with partners to collect data.
  • Organize and maintain surveys, focus group discussion template, and other documents for use by program partners.
  • Work closely with project teams to analyze program evaluation data.
  • Develop program reports to share both internally and with program partners.

Support the development of required reports for private and public funders.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience involving:
    • Working in program coordination/management
    • Working in a higher education setting preferred
  • Required proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other standard platforms
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills including managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Assertiveness and conflict resolution skills to maintain a healthy and safe environment.
  • Basic computer skills for input and output of data, electronic communication, and extracting programming resources.
  • Ability to clearly articulate concepts to broad and diverse audiences.
  • Ability to keep accurate records and reports for grant management and partnership development.
  • Ability to recruit program clientele and to recruit program resources.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to operate an automobile to travel independently as needed
