• Weekly Salary Range: $1840 - $1980 per week (estimated, depending on experience and qualifications)

Neuro RN Job Details

• Assignment Type:

• Unit: 6W Neuro Med Surg (20 beds, 14 floor beds)
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 8/4/2025 – End: 11/3/2025)
• Guaranteed
  
  Hours:
  
  36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), weekend night shift (Friday–Sunday or Saturday–Monday)
• Charting System: EPIC
• Dress Code:
  White and royal blue scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (open to candidates willing to obtain WV license)
• At least 1 year of recent Neuro Med Surg nursing experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Strong neuro clinical skills, including G-tube management
• Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Ability to float to similar Med Surg and neuro units as needed
• Flexible scheduling, including holidays and weekends

Neuro RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neuro patients (DBS, stroke, seizures, post-op spines, and other neurological disorders)
• Manage patient ratios of 1:5-6 for floor patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including 24/7 charge nurse and respiratory therapy support
• Administer and monitor titratable IV drips per physician orders and hospital protocols (e.g., Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, dopamine)
• Document and verify monitor tech strip readings in EPIC
• Participate in unit orientation and comply with hospital policies and procedures
• Float to other Med Surg and neuro units as required (7E, 7W, 7NE, 10E, or as needed)
• Maintain flexibility with shift assignments and holiday rotations
