Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Family Medicine, University Town Centre
Join our team at WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s to provide specialized nursing care for families. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will coordinate care plans, act as liaison among providers, and ensure seamless scheduling and referrals.
Responsibilities- Coordinate care plans and serve as primary liaison among providers, departments, and schedulers.
- Assist with procedures, perform tests, prepare or administer medications, obtain specimens.
- Provide triage and medical advice as first contact for patients.
- Monitor appointments, testing, labs, and obtain prior authorizations.
- Prepare educational materials and counsel patients about conditions and treatments.
- Support research activities and offer nursing consultation across units.
- Attend educational conferences to maintain up-to-date knowledge.
- Current RN license issued by the state of service location or multi-state RN licence via eNLC.
- State criminal background check and Federal (as required).
- Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum 2 years RN experience or 5 years LPN experience.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) and specialty certifications relevant to the patient population.
- Lift, move, stoop, reach, and carry patients, materials, or equipment up to or exceeding 35 lbs.
- Stand, walk, and carry patients for extended periods.
- Frequent exposure to blood, bodily fluids, communicable diseases.
- May require travel between multiple department locations.
Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork skills, ability to handle high‑volume patient interactions, adaptability, and commitment to quality patient care.
Compensation and BenefitsFull‑time, exempt position.
