As a Locum NP/PA, you will work closely with a team of skilled surgeons and healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient care. This role is vital in ensuring that our surgical team operates efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of our healthcare services. You will have the chance to be involved in various surgical procedures and patient management tasks, all while working in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.

• Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Conduct patient assessments and medical histories
• Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare teams during surgical procedures
• Provide patient education and support throughout the surgical process
• Monitor patient progress and respond to any changes in condition
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant
• Basic knowledge of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
• Basic proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Flexible

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, or 7 on/7 off

Shifts:

Overnight or 24-hour call

Experience

Required:

Cardiac critical care experience in post-cardiac surgery, ECMO, LVAD, transplant management, or post-cardiac surgery step-down care

EMR:
Epic

Board certification required
