Registered Nurse​/PCU

PCU needs are based at a regional medical center. There may be an option to float to an additional nearby facility with extra training after starting, though this is not mandatory.

A 10–15-minute phone interview is required. Please provide three possible dates and time frames for the candidate to complete the interview along with submission notes.

• ACLS and BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum of 2 years experience in PCU, Stepdown, or Telemetry units
• Active nursing license in WV or a Compact Nursing License
• Strong IV skills
• Two clinical references from within the last 2 years

• Experience with Cerner electronic health records

• Hospital orientation occurs every other Monday, on-site from 7:45 AM to 7:30 PM
• Pre-orientation modules must be completed beforehand, requiring no more than 5 hours total

• Night shifts available
• 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Must be available to work at least 4 shifts per month
• Scheduling is handled directly with the facility

• Applicants must have a minimum 1-year separation from all locations within a specific health system
• Cerner charting experience is preferred
• COVID-19 vaccine status: both vaccination records and declinations are accepted
• Flu vaccine is required; medical and religious exemptions may be approved on a case–by–case basis; declinations are not accepted
