American Traveler is hiring an experienced Medical Surgical RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring telemetry skills and a WV or Compact RN license.

• 34-bed Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratios of 1:5-7
• Night shift schedule (4x12 or 3x12), 19:00-07:30, including weekdays and weekends (3 per 4-week period)
• Uses Cerner EMR

• Active WV or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted for submission)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA-issued BLS and ACLS required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required
• Skills in respiratory care, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, wound care, and renal/dialysis management preferred
• Experience with telemetry, CVA, and pre/post cardiac cath care preferred

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg unit with telemetry capabilities
• Non-billable Cerner training modules required prior to start, averaging 8 hours to complete
• Facility expects minimal call-offs (2-3 per contract) due to past attendance concerns
• Orientation held every other Monday
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; those between 75-100 miles may be considered case-by-case at the same rate
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler
• Current employees of the broader health system (including CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) are not eligible for this travel contract
• No scrubs provided
• Travel experience not required
