Position: Distribution Lineman A

Job Overview

Penn Line Energy T&D, Inc. is seeking a Lineman

A. Candidates must have the required training, certifications, and three (3) years of lineman experience.

Responsibilities
  • Lead crew members and conduct effective pre‑job briefings.
  • Direct others in the safe completion of work and maintain vehicles/equipment in good working condition.
  • Read and follow drawings and blueprints, assist with troubleshooting on primary and secondary conductors.
  • Work on transformer banks, reclosers, capacitors, and primary/secondary conductors.
  • Respond to storm restoration work and call‑outs; overtime and extended away‑from‑home work may be required.
Qualifications
  • Attended Lineman School (preferred).
  • OSHA 10 Card or equivalent.
  • Electrical Card, Digger Derrick, Track Bucket, Rigging, Wood Pole Climbing Certificate (preferred).
  • Aerial Bucket, Track Digger, Wire Stringing Equipment, Phasing Out Conductors.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of lineman experience.
  • Valid Class A CDL; company vehicle will be furnished for travel to northern West Virginia and southern Pennsylvania.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting in excess of 50 lbs.; climbing steel towers and wood poles; working at heights up to 100’ or more.
  • Work outdoors, in inclement weather, high and low temperatures, confined spaces, and on primary and secondary conductors.
  • Work off of ladders and on transformer banks, reclosers, and capacitors.
Leadership
  • Follow directions as required; direct others in the safe completion of work.
  • Maintain vehicles/equipment in good working condition.
  • Read and follow drawings and blueprints.
  • Possess outstanding communication skills and work effectively with others; self‑motivated, team‑focused, customer‑focused.
Travel and Work Schedule
  • Work schedules may be either four ten‑hour days or five ten‑hour days.
  • Must work overtime and respond to storm restoration work and call‑outs; work may require extended away‑from‑home periods.
  • Regular work per diem greater than 60 miles away from home.
