Job Description Program Overview:Each of our employees is an integral part of the team that enables us to succeed in our mission! The Goodwill CARES! program offers support services to help ensure work-life balance, personal and professional growth, and a support network for when challenges arise. Services include counseling referrals, financial and budget planning, emergency assessment, attendance coaching, and student loan assistance.
Position Summary:The Goodwill CARES! Specialist supports and delivers programs promoting employee wellbeing, driving performance, engagement, and retention. This role involves assisting employees in accessing support services and maintaining knowledge of community resources within their assigned territory. Services may include counseling, family or life adjustments, skills development, mental health support, and assistance with substance abuse, domestic violence, and other sensitive issues. The specialist is expected to be visible and provide direct assistance at all Goodwill locations in North Central West Virginia.
Key Duties:- Interview employees and discuss sensitive issues affecting morale, health, and productivity.
- Provide confidential intake and needs assessments, referring employees to appropriate community resources.
- Conduct ongoing meetings with employees, either in person or virtually, to ensure quality service delivery and document progress.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local community services to meet employee needs, including physical, social, cultural, and livelihood services.
- Prepare and maintain records and reports to evaluate program effectiveness.
Schedule:
External Hiring Range: $41,756.00 - $43,426.24/year
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (schedule may vary based on department needs)
Travel:
Yes, occasional travel within North Central West Virginia and Southwestern Pennsylvania is required.
- Associate degree with 4 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience.
- Degree in social services, human services, psychology, rehabilitation science, or related fields.
- Experience working with individuals in crisis or vulnerable populations, or case management experience.
- Must provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprints, PATCH) before employment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
