Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE

Our client, an established logistics company are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning routes for permanent and contracted drivers, ensuring efficient day-to-day transport operations and high service standards.

Job Overview

Plan and coordinate daily transport routes for permanent and contracted drivers
Optimise vehicle utilisation while ensuring compliance with transport regulations
Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
Monitor vehicle movements using tracking systems and respond to operational issues
Maintain accurate planning records and support overall transport efficiency
Assist with compliance relating to driver hours and tachograph regulations

Job Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar transport planning role covering permanent and contracted drivers
Management CPC qualification advantageous, with knowledge of driver hours, tachographs and compliance
Manage transport systems related to driver apps, deliveries and collections.
Experience using planning/tracking systems
FLT licence advantageous or willingness to undertake training
Valid Class 1 licence advantageous

Salary & Benefits

£30,000 - £35,000 DOE
Full-time, permanent, onsite position (Monday-Friday)
Some flexibility required around shift coverage and weekend on-call support - full details will be discussed
28 days' holiday including bank holidays
Phone allowance after probation
