Vision for Education are currently looking for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work at a well regarded Primary school in Huntingdon.

About the role

Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Full time)

Huntingdon

£93 to £100 per day (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

This role will begin in September 2026.

The School and Role

We are looking for a commited and motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive staff team.

The successful candidate will work alongside teachers to provide high-quality learning support, helping pupils reach their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and purposeful environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of lessons, resources, and displays
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs
  • Monitor and record pupils progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Help maintain a positive, orderly classroom environment
  • Promote inclusion and support the emotional and social development of pupils
  • Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and on school trips as required
Requirements

The desired Level 2 Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Full DBS clearance
  • 2 recent references to support your employment with children
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car
  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
