Teaching Assistant / Support Worker – Children's Secure Unit Looking for a role that's challenging, meaningful and different every day?
Protocol Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants and Support Workers to work in a specialist children's secure unit
.
You’ll support young people who may have complex emotional, behavioural and educational needs. Your role will be to provide stability, encouragement and consistency while helping them engage with education and develop positive skills for the future.
No two days will necessarily look the same.
What you’ll be supporting with- 1:1 support and supervision
- Classroom and educational activities
- Emotional regulation
- Behaviour support
- Communication and social development
- Positive routines and boundaries
- Individual targets and support plans
- Practical and life skills
- Building positive professional relationships
- Working alongside education and care professionals
You’ll need to be someone who can remain calm, professional and consistent
, even when situations become challenging.

Previous experience with challenging behaviour, SEND, SEMH, residential care, youth work or education is advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
