Pay: £98–£120 per day, depending on experience

Protocol Education is recruiting a PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Morpeth
, supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex additional needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping pupils communicate, develop independence and access their education in a way that works for them.

You will support pupils with:

• Profound and multiple learning difficulties
• Complex and additional needs
• Communication difficulties
• Physical disabilities

• Personal care requirements
• Emotional and behavioural needs

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting pupils to access learning activities
• Using communication aids and visual resources
• Supporting sensory and physical activities
• Encouraging independence
• Supporting personal care where required
• Following individual care and support plans
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals

You could be an experienced PMLD Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or someone with relevant care experience looking to move into education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
