Support, Encourage and EmpowerProtocol Education is working with a specialist SEND school in Morpeth seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with PMLD and complex needs
.
You’ll become an important part of the pupils' daily routine, helping them feel safe, supported and included while encouraging communication, engagement and independence.
What You'll Be Doing- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis
- Assisting with personalised learning activities
- Supporting communication and interaction
- Helping pupils participate in sensory activities
- Encouraging independence and choice
- Supporting mobility and physical needs
- Providing personal care when required
- Following individual support plans
- Recording and communicating progress
- Working closely with teachers and specialist staff
We're interested in candidates with experience in:
- PMLD
- Complex SEND
- Learning disabilities
- Healthcare
- Social care
- Residential care
- SEN education
- Personal care
- Support work
Full support will be provided, but experience with complex needs would be highly beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
