We are seeking to appoint a Team Manager in Northumberland’s Adult Social Work Academy. About the role Current research has evidenced that the dedicated support given to both NQSW’s and Apprentices enables them to have a positive experience of social work at the start of their career. This specialist team manager role is pivotal in the development of our workforce.
They will lead a team of dedicated staff who assess and support both NQSWs and Social Work Apprentices. This is a new role within the Social Work Academy and an opportunity for the successful candidate to both shape and influence the future development and delivery of the work of the Academy. What we are looking for:
* The successful candidate should have experience of supervising and mentoring staff.
* The successful candidate will lead on quality assurance within the Academy
* The successful candidate will need to have strong leadership skills and embed the Academy ethos across the organisation.
* The successful candidate will continue to promote a strong learning culture across the organisation
* The successful candidate willdemonstratestrategic skills to link the work of the Social Work Academy to a wider workforce development issues

* Degree in Social Work & registered with Social Work England
* Experience of supervising or mentoring staff
* Practice Educator (Stage
2) qualification or working towards this.
* It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid UK driving licence and is either a car ownerorcanuseacar for work purposes.
