Join M&S as a Customer Assistant in our Food section, front line of the UK's fastest growing retailer. We are looking for down‑to‑earth colleagues who thrive under pressure, deliver five‑star service at pace, and embrace transformation.
We are seeking individuals who take pride in their knowledge of M&S Food products and are ready to roll up their sleeves to meet strong customer demand day in and day out.
You'll be a resilient and committed brand ambassador who confidently recommends and sells our newest food products, ensuring customers feel valued every time they shop with us.
At M&S, customers don’t wait. You’ll thrive in a high‑pressure environment, staying sharp, fast, and focused when the store is busiest. You’ll go above and beyond to serve, sell, fill, and help drive growth in sales.
Being digitally confident is essential. You’ll use digital tools such as Sparks and in‑store devices to enhance the customer experience and ensure customers get the products they want when they need them.
Being a team player is crucial. You’ll contribute to a positive, high‑energy environment where everyone supports each other to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Flexibility is vital. You should be prepared to work across various areas of the store and adapt to the changing demands of retail. No two shifts look the same, and you’ll embrace the challenge.
Work Pattern- Sunday: 12:30 – 16:30
- Wednesday: 13:30 – 17:30
- Friday: 17:30 – 21:30
- Saturday: 13:30 – 17:30
- Be a frontline contributor who delivers excellent customer service and supports sales through product knowledge and active selling.
- Recommend and sell new food products to customers and help them find what they need.
- Maintain a high‑energy, customer‑focused environment and assist in keeping the store well presented during peak times.
- Utilise digital tools (e.g., Sparks and in‑store devices) to enhance the customer experience.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to provide a seamless shopping experience.
- Passion for M&S Food products and a willingness to roll up sleeves and work hard
- Digital confidence and ability to use store technology
