Job DescriptionLead Marketo Architect / Solution Architect (Marketing Automation Expert). 15–17 years of experience in Mar Tech Architecture & Marketo. This role defines, designs, and executes the enterprise‑level architecture of our Adobe Marketo Engage platform, ensuring robustness, scalability, compliance, and deep integration with our GTM technology stack.
Key Responsibilities- Enterprise Architecture Design – Design and maintain the comprehensive technical architecture of Adobe Marketo Engage, ensuring scalability and adherence to best practices for performance, data hygiene, and security.
- Integration Strategy & Execution – Define architecture for complex, bidirectional integrations between Marketo and core enterprise systems (CRM like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics, CMS, data warehouses, other Mar Tech tools such as Vidyard or Workfront) via APIs, webhooks, and middleware such as Mulesoft or Tray.io.
- Platform Configuration & Governance – Oversee advanced configuration, administration, and governance protocols; establish standards for campaigns, programs, lead scoring, attribution models, segmentation, and data compliance (CAN‑SPAM, GDPR, CCPA).
- Performance & Scalability Optimization – Proactively monitor Marketo performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement optimization strategies for high deliverability and efficient campaign execution.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship – Lead a team of Marketo Admins and Specialists, serving as subject‑matter expert for all architectural decisions.
- Strategic Road‑mapping – Collaborate with senior leadership and C‑suite stakeholders to develop a 3‑5 year marketing automation roadmap, evaluating new features and third‑party tools.
- Documentation & UAT Oversight – Create detailed architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and comprehensive documentation; define UAT strategy and oversee testing to ensure flawless deployment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 15–17 years in marketing technology, data architecture, or solution architecture roles, with a deep focus on enterprise B2B marketing automation platforms in the US market.
- Technical Proficiency (Mandatory Expertise):
- Marketo Architecture – 10+ years expert‑level, hands‑on experience as a Marketo Architect.
- Marketo Configuration – 8+ years deep expertise in Marketo Skyliner architecture principles and technical limits.
- API & Database Concepts – 8+ years proficiency in API development/management, data modeling, SQL/database concepts.
- Front‑End Technologies – 5+ years experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- CRM Integration – 8+ years strong understanding of Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics, especially data integration and synchronization.
- Certifications:
- Adobe Certified Master Marketo Engage Architect – required.
- PMP or other enterprise architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF) – a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities in complex technical environments.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and drive technical teams toward strategic goals.

PayCompensation for this role ranges from $75 to $85 per hour, reflecting the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations.
