Manufacturing Operations Specialist
Novartis, Morris Plains, NJ – Full‑time role supporting manufacturing of Cell & Gene therapies.
Location & RelocationMorris Plains, NJ. Novartis does not offer relocation support.
ShiftSunday – Thursday 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM.
Key Responsibilities- Adhere to area governing SOPs, work plans, and batch records with a focus on Right‑First‑Time performance.
- Maintain audit‑ready manufacturing support areas, including equipment cleaning and maintenance.
- Accurately maintain SAP/MES inventories and coordinate material flow, kitting, and receiving.
- Escalate compliance or safety issues and support event reconciliation.
- Support monthly and annual cycle counts and all site projects and initiatives.
- Maintain accurate SAP/MES inventories for all components.
- Segregate and store conditioned and ambient materials properly.
- Ensure Kanban system accuracy and material consumption per FEFO/FIFO.
- Complete kitting/staging of initial kits for each shift and respond to kitting requests.
- Monitor staged kits for expired materials and ensure utilization before expiry.
- Maintain gowning materials in the ISO8 staging area to adequate levels.
- Supply non‑BOM items in the dispensary area.
- 1‑3 years of cGMP/FDA regulated industry experience; high school required, bachelor preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills with problem‑solving and follow‑up abilities.
- Well organized, flexible, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience handling corrosive, solvent, and bio‑hazardous chemicals.
Hourly range $30.57 – $56.82 with performance‑based cash incentive and eligibility for annual equity awards. US‑eligible employees receive a 401(k) with company match, comprehensive health, life, disability benefits, and a generous time‑off package.
