Software Engineering Senior Advisor

Location: Morris Plains, NJ

Type: Full-Time – Hybrid work schedule.

Salary: $ per year plus standard company benefits.

Provides technology leadership and delivery accountability for solutions across multiple concurrent projects within application families such as Claims, C&PS, or CS&DW. Builds detailed specifications or designs, conducts quality assurance reviews of peers’ application programming, and serves as a resource for team members.

Creates estimates and delivery plans for projects at a capability level with multiple vendors, maintains quality of technology delivery, and guides the writing and modification of complex software application programs. Sets direction to mature the technology by removing technical debt and implementing process enhancements in the application area.

Serves as subject‑matter expert on development and testing of technology components, performs coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and maintenance of software application programs as needed. Supports senior team members and architects in setting direction for new technology components.

Provides technical guidance to projects, develops standard practices, components, and guidelines for complex technology components, and resolves urgent and high‑production incidents by determining root causes and driving resolution of software development issues.

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering and a minimum of five years of experience as a Software Developer or related role.

• Proven experience with the following technologies and areas:

• IBM Mainframes, COBOL6, JCL, VSAM, DB2, MQ, TSO/ISPF
• PBM claim adjudication processing;
  Inflation Reduction Act (IRA); CMS (HIPAA); NCPDP guidelines
• Point of Sale;
  Coordination of Benefit (COB); manual submitted claims processing
• Retail pharmacy network system; CA-7 Scheduler;
  Endeavor; XPEDITER; SPUFI
• Migration activities
• Job execution in Java and Postgres DB;
  Agile development process
