Primary Purpose Of PositionThe Senior Project Management Scheduler reports to the Lead Project Management Scheduler and is responsible for developing and updating project schedules and maintaining multi‑disciplined engineering and project execution schedules for complex projects. The role requires working independently, leading schedule meetings, facilitating discussions to obtain information to organize activities, validating schedule calculations, and performing weekly/monthly status updates and reports. The Scheduler interfaces directly with project team members and vendor organizations, monitors work activities, identifies potential schedule conflicts, assists in calculating project earned values, and notifies Project Manager(s) of pending or future schedule discrepancies while recommending resolution options.
The Scheduler also coaches and/or provides guidance to Project Management Schedulers and communicates any scheduling issue areas and risks to leadership.
- Coordinate, develop, and update discipline schedules to ensure an accurate product for use in effective planning, resource allocation, parts acquisition, and schedule execution.
- Prepare and analyze detailed project schedule reports to ensure effective project execution and feedback. Coordinate with project team members directly to update schedule status for assigned activities.
- Lead project scheduling meetings to collect current schedule information, provide current schedule status, develop schedule mitigation strategies, and provide look‑ahead updates to project teams.
- Assist with maintaining and enhancing fleet master project scheduling templates and reports.
- Run weekly and monthly site schedule reports.
- Other assignments as directed by management, such as outage schedule challenges, day‑to‑day scheduling and performance of self‑assessments to support continuous learning of the organization.
- Provide emergency response duties and/or coverage as directed by management.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience or
- Associate’s degree with 7 years of related experience or
- High school diploma/GED with 9 years of related experience.
- Experience managing projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (within 18 months of starting position).
- Maintain minimum or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.
- Primavera P6 experience.
