  • Naturally energetic and silly—you click with kids

  • Committed to integrity in everything you do
What Does a Behavior Technician Do?

At Unlocking Abilities Behavior and Learning, our Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are more than just staff—they are mentors, encourage rs, and advocates. Working 1:1 with children diagnosed with autism and developmental disabilities, BTs/RBTs use the evidence-based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help each child reach meaningful milestones.

You’ll collaborate closely with a supportive team of BCBAs, clinical leaders, and fellow techs in a center-based setting, where the focus is on progress, compassion, and connection.

How Will You Contribute?
  • Work directly with clients to implement individualized treatment plans
  • Teach communication, social, play, and self-help skills
  • Reduce challenging behaviors using proactive strategies
  • Celebrate small wins that build toward lifelong independence
  • Document sessions and collect data to track progress
  • Act as a positive role model and build trusting relationships with the children you serve

This is not a babysitting or caregiving job—this is an opportunity to build confidence, foster meaningful skills, and change lives.
