Unlocking Abilities Behavior and Learning, located in Morris, IL is looking for a full time Behavior‑Technician / Registered Behavior Technician to join our amazing team providing essential therapy services to children.

At Unlocking Abilities Behavior and Learning, our Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are more than just staff—they are mentors, encourage rs, and advocates. Working 1:1 with children diagnosed with autism and developmental disabilities, BTs/RBTs use the evidence‑based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help each child reach meaningful milestones.
You’ll collaborate closely with a supportive team of BCBAs, clinical leaders, and fellow techs in a center‑based setting, where the focus is on progress, compassion, and connection.
How Will You Contribute?- Work directly with clients to implement individualized treatment plans
- Teach communication, social, play, and self‑help skills
- Reduce challenging behaviors using proactive strategies
- Celebrate small wins that build toward lifelong independence
- Document sessions and collect data to track progress
- Act as a positive role model and build trusting relationships with the children you serve

What We’re Looking ForWe welcome applicants at all experience levels—whether you’re just starting out or already RBT‑certified. We offer full training, hands‑on mentorship, and clear career advancement pathways.
Required:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Consistent and dependable attendance
- Ability to pass a background check, MVR check (if driving is required), and registry check)
- Experience in ABA, special education, child development, or a related field (1 year preferred)
- Completion of a BACB‑approved 40‑hour RBT course
This is a physically active job. You must be able to:
- Move quickly between seated and standing positions
- Bend, kneel, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Assist with hygiene needs (toileting, diapers) across all genders
- Respond safely to physical behaviors when needed
- Work on your feet for extended periods
- Work in a sensory‑rich, fast‑paced environment
