This role is for a Wound Nurse at Arcadia Care, responsible for primary skin care of residents under the medical direction of the facility’s physician staff. Compensation depends on experience and skill level.
Base Pay Range$72,800.00/yr - $87,360.00/yr

- Confer with Director of Nursing and/or other licensed nursing personnel regarding dermatologic disorders of residents.
- Examine residents, review records and charts to discriminate between normal and abnormal findings, and refer to physician when necessary.
- Provide assessment and diagnostic services using observation, inspection, and palpation.
- Initiate requests for consultation or referral; respond to requests from resident, physician, or nursing staff.
- Identify, manage, and treat specific skin disorders and lesions, including abrasions, foot problems, decubitus ulcers, infections, scaling diseases, and benign tumors.
- Assist in resident rehabilitation activities: perform range of motion, assist ambulation, provide emotional support, monitor physical therapy activities.
- Provide preventative health care services and make recommendations concerning nutrition and skin disorder prevention.
- Make written and oral reports/recommendations to attending physician, Medical Director, or Director of Nursing concerning resident status and care.
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures for skin care, interpreting them to physicians, families, and public as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- LPN or RN with current, unencumbered state licensure.
- Wound certification preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an LPN or RN.
- Move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Speak and write in English.
- Cope with mental and emotional stress of position.
- Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet; carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
