Full‑time Certified Veterinary Technician needed to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. Our ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners.

$19‑$21 per hour, based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Full‑time position, averaging 35–40 hours per week. Hospital hours:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:30 pm;
Saturday 8:00 am–12:00 pm.

• Client Communication:
  Provide status updates, home‑care instructions, pre‑/post‑op instructions, medication guidance; address questions and direct complex inquiries to veterinarians.
• Client Education & Support:
  Educate on preventative medicine, wellness care, vaccine requirements, lab procedures; support financial policies by preparing estimates.
• Customer Service:
  Greet clients, escort pets, ensure smooth transitions, promote practice products and programs.
• Animal Handling & Care:
  Restrain animals safely; assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, dental procedures; prepare patients for surgery; administer anesthesia; monitor patients during surgery and recovery; administer fluids.
• Facility & Equipment Maintenance:
  Care for surgical materials; maintain hospital equipment and inventory; ensure all areas are prepared.
• Record Keeping:
  Maintain accurate patient records in paperless system; document procedures, vaccinations, billing.
• Pharmacy Assistance:
  Dispense medications, prepare labels, package medication as directed.
• Safety & Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Follow DEA, OSHA, hospital safety; administer SQ, IM, IV injections; perform laboratory tests, radiographs, ECG; place IV catheters; perform emergency treatments.

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) certification in IL.
• 1+ years veterinary experience.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledge of common disease states; alert veterinarians to changes in patient condition.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, hospital safety guidelines.
