The role is immediate and full‑time. Permanent Full‑Time Forklift Operators are needed in Morris, Illinois.
Position DescriptionRyder is immediately hiring permanent full‑time forklift operators in Morris, Illinois.
Pay and Schedule- Hourly Pay: $21.75 per hour
- Schedule:
Sunday – Wednesday 5:30 am – 4:00 pm
- Warehouse positions paid each week
- On‑job paid training

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
- Valid forklift operator’s license certified
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Professional relationship building with all levels of the organization
- Highly thorough and dependable
- Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
- Performs work independently with minimal supervision
- Possesses a high degree of initiative
- Demonstrates high accuracy even under pressure
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Follows health and safety methods
- Available for a flexible schedule and various shifts
- Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Some positions require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or background requirements of the customer assigned.
Responsibilities- Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
- Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
- Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
